Objective Fulfilled
Now that the Metropolitan Police and CPS have taken out a prosecution against 4 MP’s we feel we’ve achieved our objectives, and await for Justice to be served. In order to ensure we can not be seen as influencing the trial, all comments on this site have now been disabled.
Many thank to the thousands who have visited the site, signed our petitions both here and on facebook and left messages of support. In the mean time we invite you all to wonder over to www.VisitScunthorpe.Com which is our new community project.

Following the continuing momentum and strength of public feeling against numerous MP’s decision to stand down at the next election instead of resigning immediately, we have decided to extend our www.elliotmustgo.com site and bring it under the umbrella of a National Campaign www.shouldyourmpgo.com
We have all heard the defense of “it was within the rules or it was an administrative error” but looking at the green book (the guide to MPs allowances) it is very clear to any intelligent person as to what expenses should be
Section 1.3 of the green book highlights the fundamental principles of expense claims which are
- Claims should be above reproach and must reflect actual usage of the resources being claimed.
- Claims must only be made for expenditure that it was necessary for a Member to incur to ensure that he or she could properly perform his or her parliamentary duties.
- Allowances are reimbursed only for the purpose of a Member carrying out his or her parliamentary duties. Claims cannot relate to party political activity of any sort, nor must any claim provide a benefit to a party political organisation.
- It is not permissible for a Member to claim under any parliamentary allowance for anything that the Member is claiming from any other source.
- Members must ensure that claims do not give rise to, or give the appearance of giving rise to, an improper personal financial benefit to themselves or anyone else.
- Members are committed to openness about what expenditure has been incurred and for what purposes.
- Individual Members take personal responsibility for all expenses incurred, for making claims and for keeping records, even if the administration of claims is delegated by them to others.
- The requirement of ensuring value for money is central in claiming for accommodation, goods or services – Members should avoid purchases which could be seen as extravagant or luxurious.
- Claims must be supported by documentary evidence, except where the House has agreed that such evidence is not necessary.
Objectives
www.ShouldYourMPGo.com enables all relevant constituencies to coordinate and organise local campaigns whilst combining forces behind a national campaign under the following position
- We call for the immediate resignation of all MPs who have announced their intention to stand down at the next election due to exposure for questionable expense claims. Our reason for this request is that these MPs have lost all professional credibility with their constituents, local businesses and the media. Subsequently this perception will continue to have a negative impact on their ability to help local constituents until the next election.
- If these MPs are not prepared to resign immediately we call for David Cameron and Gordon Brown to take the moral initiative and stop the MP’s drawing salary and benefits from the tax payer and the relevant political party to be responsible for paying these items until a by-election or general election whichever is sooner
- We also call for a criminal investigation to take place looking at all historical expense claims of MPs and Cabinet members
www.ShouldYourMPGo.com has no political affiliations or intention to field candidates in any by-election or general election. Our campaign position is purely from a moral and credibility standpoint, it is irrelevant as to whether the relevant MPs are incompetent or dishonest they have lost the trust of their constituents and the country and must resign immediately.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
If these people made all these “errors” by accident then they are not competent to be a car park attendant. They are just fraudsters who, out of parliament, would be treated in law as thieves.
Such a propensity for lying and theft makes them unfit to be employed anywhere.
They are totally beneath contempt and should stand down immediately - but none of them has the decency or self respect to do so.
‘Honorable’ — most have no honour.
